I'm an educated agnostic who subscribes - devoutely, as it were - to the notion that anyone who believes in a higher power has the right to do so, the right to say so anywhere another has the right to say otherwise, and the right to support and vote for anyone, in accordance with those beliefs...just like the rest of us. I'm a strong conservative who believes: John Kerry was, and is, a liar, guilty of treason during and after the war in Vietnam - and should be in jail to this day for it....President Clinton wasted his presidency as surely as Nixon did - and pissed away the chance to take bin-Laden, because he lacked the political courage to do so. Hillary Clinton? Well - those 900 FBI files DID turn up in her bedroom, didn't they (a rather large tip of a much larger iceberg) ? The "honorable" Senator Kennedy? A drug-and-alcohol sotted murderer then. A lying, drunken, hypocritical, self-righteous tax-evading excuse for a human being now. The "honorable" Senator Byrd? A top-level recruiter for the KKK then, a blathering, boring, self-aggrandizing fool now. Howard Dean? The PERFECT leader for today's Democratic Elite. More?

Hello Kathy, Very kind of you, and quite unexpected, considering the overwhelming volume of mindless, pervasive hate exhibited by so many here on Gather.
Don't know if you've poked around in my comments or other writing, but if you have, you've probably noticed some...um...angry edges? I feel the need to say I'm a bit grumpier than I used to be, and a lot more worried about the future of America than I used to be.
If this works, I'll drop in a link or two, to what I originally came here to do. Kinda got lost, after a while, in the madness of the politics here. Perhaps you'll enjoy.
